Monday Night Raw Recap

Jeff Hardy did the unthinkable, again! Last week he did his “whisper in the wind” finisher from the top of the steel cage onto Umaga. Last night, though, was something completely different. Hardy dove from a scaffold – about 25 feet up – onto a prone Randy Orton.
Forget whatever kind of trickery Hardy and Orton were able to use, combined with their stunning athletic ability. The bottom line is that Hardy’s move scared me! To see someone literally soar through the air like he did just left my mouth open. Kudos go to the commentators, Jim Ross and Jerry”The King”Lawler, who said nothing after the move was delivered and "paramedics" came to “tend” to both wrestlers. They let the picture tell the story, nothing needed to be said.

The rest of the show was very good except for a lengthy mini Royal Rumble match. Hornswoggle won that contest. Thankfully, the ladies six-man tag team match was pretty quick – I had it at three minutes bell-to-bell. The show was almost perfect and guaranteed me getting the Royal Rumble pay-per-view for the Orton-Hardy match alone.

RESULTS
Beth Phoenix, Melina and Jillian Hall def. Maria, Mickie James and Ashley

Shawn Michaels def. Trevor Murdoch

Snitsky def. HHH via disqualification

Jeff Hardy(pictured above) def. Randy Orton by DQ after a low blow by the W.W.E. Champ. The aforementioned scaffold leap came after the bell.

Next week the show is in High Definition (HD). Shawn Michaels will take on Mr. Kennedy and Vince McMahon has a surprise opponent for Triple H.
