Boxing Briefs

An autopsy has found that former world champion Arturo Gatti may have died by his own hand. The New York Daily News has an article on the findings here. The story says that investigators "pointed out that the apartment's electronic locks showed that Gatti and Amanda Rodrigues were the only people who entered." I read elsewhere that his wife, Amanda, could not explain how she spent more than ten hours in the hotel room without realizing Gatti was dead, yet she professes her innocence. She is currently in a jail in Brazil, while prosecutors have until Wednesday to formally charge her.

Meanwhile, George Willis last week made a case here in the New York Post for a Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao bout.
