Do The Rules Still Apply To Joba?

Joba Chamberlain was brilliant last night for the New York Yankees in their 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. The trouble is that he has now pitched 110 innings, with the limit for him being set at around 160 for this season. Some are saying that because of this limit by management on the 23-year-old pitcher that the Yankees should snatch Roy Halladay from Toronto. I hope not. Chamberlain should be able to go the rest of the season and the rules should be scrapped. I think the Yankees should forget dealing youth (Phil Hughes, Austin Jackson, Jesus Montero and more) for age (Halladay) with no post-season success being guaranteed. The "Joba rules" are revisited here.
